Towns

It is often diffucult to remember where one can find a particular item that is urgently needed or who in the area gives the best prices for loot. Here is a summary. Details can be found on the pages for the individual towns.

Training, Identification and Selling

After clearing out a dungeon you usually want to get your reward if you have just completed a quest. You then want to sell your loot to the highest bidder and probably turn your new won skill points into genuine skills. The training establishments are just listed with the name of the trainer and the town. The price you get when selling depends on your reputation and bartering skill. Funnily enough healers offer the best price, if you ask for Healing! The values given here are based on a reputation of 20 and barter 2 for each member of the party. The actual price you will be offered will of course be different, but the list can be used for comparison. If you have enough skill in barterering everbody offers you a good price which tops out at 60%. In the list of people who will identify items I have also noted the cost.

Priest Spells
n Spell Levels 1 & 2 Level 3
1 Healing
An absolute must, although potions (Healing Potion and Elixir, Restoration Brew etc.) can help.
Caius, Formello Room in the inn in Almaria
2 Curing
Useful, particularly level 3 which also cures acid
Caius, Formello Tower of Magi (find lizard egg for Susanne)

4 Shielding
helps to protect party members; almost redundant when you have Beast Ceremony.
Caius, Formello Tower of Magi (find black drake tooth for Vincent)

a very good way of dealing with undead. Level 3 also works on Demons. As many party members as possible should have this spell.
Caius, Formello Serpent Cult (needs Blessed Athame)
6 Smite
an offensive spell for priests which deals a blow to one or more foes. The number and power of the blow depend on the spell level, priest ability and spell ability.
Caius, Formello

7 Summon Shade
one of the summoning spells which I seldom use.
Caius, Formello

(L1) Scroll, Nephilim Castle
Clarisse, Tower of Magi
Pathass, Gnass
Wilvron-Bok, Shrine of Crystals (for returning Caffren-Bok)

Clarisse, Tower of Magi
Pathass, Gnass
Lair of Motrax
12 Mass Curing
not a great deal of use in this game
Clarisse, Tower of Magi

Kristen, The Castle
Pathass, Gnass

Healers, Potions, Recipes and Ingredients

Healers are important because they are the best place to sell loot. All potion recipes except those for Healing and Curing Potion (which you get automatically) can be bought, although Greymould Salve can be picked up without cost. The ingredients are however sometimes a bit difficult to find.

Boats, Rations and General Items

One of the few things you have to buy is a boat for the river from Fort Draco to Formello, otherwise you cannot reach Solberg or find the teleporter-code for Erika. I never need to buy rations but it is a good idea to see what the general item sellers have to offer. There is occasionally something useful like an Energy Potion to be had.
