| Solberg's Tower |
Solberg is holed up in his tower to the west of Formello. It is not worth trying to visit him early in the game because his tower is surrounded by hordlings and demons. Even if you get past them you could not see him because you need Royal Clearance.

On crossing the land bridge in front of the tower you will be attacked by two Demons and 12 Hordlings. The latter are relatively easy to kill whereas the demons are much tougher.
After disposing of the welcoming party I like to look around outside before seeing Solberg. There is a hidden passage in the west wall leading to four fire lizards. When these are dead you can inspect the corpse that is lying there. It was an Empire soldier and has some mediocre equipment.
There is not much to do here. You should obviosly talk to Solberg. He sells a few simple spells and will teach Magery, which is very useful. In the SE corner of this tower is a hidden room with a tome which teaches Ice Lances L3.
In the bedroom in the NE is a Portal which takes you to an orb of spying. I have not seen anything useful in this orb. Perhaps I should look in it later in the game.
