General Hints

The prisoners that you have been asked to free are in the NW corner. There are a few fairly tough nephar shamen here and quite a lot of loot to be found.

Notes

After dealing with the fairly strong reception committee I generally go west and then north, so that I can come up on the strong group in the north centre from the side. I have also done it by going east and then north. You should not barge in by going straight north in the middle of the central compound where there are two giants and 4 or 5 nephar shamen and various archers and warriors.

The Prisoners

As soon as you have cleared the main area you can free the prisoners. Near the east end of the platform in the north is a door leading to the chieftain's quarters. To the north of the first room is a hidden office where you can look in the desk to find a bronze key. In the bedroom to the west is a chest with a fine leather armour. To the north is a secret door leading to a chest protected by two traps (level 11). If you get the chest opened, it contains a Wand of Carrunos, an Emerald, a Silver Necklace and a Silver Bracelet.

Now back to the platform, A bit further west is a door that can be unlocked with the bronze key. Pull the leaver and Bingo! The gates to the prison open. To the south of the prison is a hidden passage leading to a small cache with some food and crude weapons.

The Outer Rooms

In the SW are three shamen in their chambers. They do not drop much, only a few herbs. The bookshelves hold a few scrolls. The bedroom to the west is empty except for a secret door in the north wall, where you can find a scroll that teaches Beast Ceremony L2.

In the SE is a small storeroom containing nothing spectacular (except pehaps 20 Steel Bolts) and guarded by two Nephar Warriors. To the south and east of this room are some corridors populated by various nephar and warriors. These passages lead back to the main compound where a locked door in the middle of the east wall leads to a giant's chamber.

The Northeast Corner

There are three door in the NE corner, two in the east wall leading into a feasting hall where two shamen, the nephar chieftain and two warriors are sitting. (That is if you dispatched the troops in the main compound quickly enough, so that these nepharim did not have time to join in.) They are a bit tough. When you have finished them off you can go north through the kitchen to the barracks were two warriors and three nephar are milling around.

That's it. After picking up the various items which are now lying around (giants drop coins and very often silver bars) you can now trot off to Silvar and collect your reward from Captain Arlen.
