There are naturally lots of Araneae in this dungeon. They are rather tricky because they can do magic. The main reason for comming here is to release the spider prisoner.
As well as Araneae there are also a few Scaly Imps and a Cave Demon.
In the northwest there is a sort of library, which does not contain anything interesting other than two Araneae and two Aranea Watchers. On the middle of the north wall are 2 Aranea Watchers, an Arenea Hivemaster, a Mindless Hiveguard and an Aranea, which are guarding the entrance to the prison cells to the east. They drop a few interesing items like a Force Shield.
The main treasure is aranea fangs, scrolls and wands. In the NE corner are 3 Scaly Imps which are guarding a Wand of Inferno and a few mundane items.
There are runes at various points, most are dangerous:

near the entrance in SW and SE: long sticky webs fly out thereby ensnaring you for about 10 turns;

NW in the "library": stepping into the larger heptagram calls up 4 Imps;

in the NE are the Prison Cells: if you step on either of the runes here, the cell near it opens.
The spider prisoner you need to free is in the western cell in the NE.

Near the middle of the western wall is a secret passage to a "larder" with dead bodies which have a few useful items. To the south of this room is another hidden passage (button in the north wall of the larder) which leads to a curious body (actually a Vahnatai, but we do not know anything about them yet). Here are a "Strange Cloak" and some Razordiscs.

In the main passage directly north of the entrance is a button in the north wall of a niche in the east which opens a cubby hole containing a various crystals including a Battle Crystal.

Further north at the end of the central N-S passage is a further button on the west wall which opens a cubby hole just round the corner in the north.

In the elevated area to the NE of the main entrance is a button in the west wall which opens a path to a cubby hole containing some coins and a scroll.
There are two glowing white Spiderweb-Runes which can be examined in the west of the cave just north of the hidden "larder". Both yield scrolls.
