Abra and Bohen are camping in front of the door to this resting cell. They are scared of going in because of all the Hydras which have infested these caves. Abra will give the quest to kill the hydras and rewards you with a Soul Crystal.
I start by clearing the caves in the south before tackling the main chamber. To the west are some Hydras and Baby Hydras. In the eastern wall of the cave in the SW is a hidden passage which apparently leads nowhere. At the end of the passage there is another hidden door to the south, which leads past two traps (level 10) to a cache with two Curing and two Health Potions. Further north is another Hydra with four babies. In the next cave to the east is an Ice Pudding. In the central cave to the north of the entrance are two more Ice Puddings. There are again a good number of Ice Puddings, Hydras and thier babies to the east. These monsters drop nothing but Lizard Haunches and the nests yield nothing interesting. The only bit of good loot in the southern caves is a ruby on a corpse in a secret passage to the north of a blue crystal pillar in a cave in the SW.
There are four ways into the main hall: two doors to the west and two weak walls (that can be knocked down with Move Mountains) to the east. I prefer the weak wall nearer the centre because it allows my party to dispose of the nasty Ice Hydras in the alcove to the south of the hall before the other hydras gang up on them.
Once you have killed the assorted hydras you can have a look around. The barrier to the north of the controll platform can be walked through, although there is little point in doing so because there is no treasure there and if you try to operate the controls you will only get burnt. Other than a multitude of lizard haunches and ordinary crystals there are no goodies on the floor. The eastern Ice Hydra nest yields a Healing Potion and the western one a skull!
So back on out to Abra to collect your reward; not only does he give you a soul crystal but you also gain 20xp.
