• This ad is from the April 6th, 1974, issue of Melody Maker:

• This snippet could be found in The Face #7, November 1980, p. 62:

  This is where we came in. A few weeks before Woody and Jane tied the knot, Graham Parker married his Californian girlfriend Jolie a few yards further up the Euston Road, at Marylebone Register Office. Chalkie Davies' photo was taken during the reception held on a boat sailing up the Thames.

• Bruce Springsteen sings backing vocals not only on "Endless Night," but on "Paralysed" as well.

• "Devil's Sidewalk" and "Empty Lives" were first thought for the Jack Nitzsche produced soundtrack of the film "Crusing" (featuring John Hiatt and Willy DeVille), but after legal problems GP got them back and so they ended up on "The Up Escalator."

• The cover of the Jona Lewie 1978 Stiff-LP "On The Other Hand There's A Fist" was taken in the living room of GP's parents, on the wall you can see a gold (?) 7"-disc with a Vertigo logo on it. Should be from the "Pink Parker"-EP, I guess.

• Originally Tim Moore (who wrote "Second Avenue" for Art Garfunkel) was scheduled to produce "Howlin' Wind," but got exhausted on a European tour and cancelled the engagement in the last minute. So, at Dave Robinson's suggestion, Nick Lowe jumped in. And I always thought Lowe only had to jump in on "Stick To Me!"

• Around 1972 GP performed three songs on Gibraltar TV.
