When you enter you have to cross a narrow bridge across the moat under enemey fire, so it is a good idea to haste the party or (if you have it) use the Beast Ceremony before entering the cave.
In the central area there are a lot of Sliths who you need to eliminate before proceeding further. In the west is a fish breeding area. and to the east a smithy. There is a lot of treasure around, to the west fish and a Ring of Vulnerability. In the northwest is the Slith nursery.
To the NE is the Temple with priests and Slith warriors. To the north is a room with a refuse pit and two locked doors. The western one leads to two tomes: the left one teaches you Repel Spirit L3; the right one tells a bit about the Empire. Further West is a hidden door to a room with a trapped floor which zaps you if you try to reach the tome in the NW corner. This is the Slith Tome that Mairwen wants.
The room to the East is sleeping quarters with little other than a few potion ingredients. To the south is a room with a single pillar in the middle. In the south wall is a secret passage with traps and two chests. The eastern one is traped and contains 14+40 coins, Steel Studded Armour, Ash Crossbow, Cloak Clasp and a Beautiful Fur. In the western one is one of the many Onyx Keys (needed get into the Slith Castle).
