(Oslo 10/18/1991 concert announcement)
The band that GP and Ronson toured with in Scandinavia in 1991 is called JOHAN WAHLSTROM & THE YOBS; Johan is the vocalist - he is also a tour promoter, so he arranged the tour. Johan sings 2-3 songs and Mick does 4-5 before Parker hits the stage to do a set of around 45 minutes.
Wahlstrom & The Yobs toured with Ian Hunter & Mick Ronson in 1990 - 91 and with Ian Hunter in 1992 (Ronson was too ill to join them). Shortly after the Parker/Ronson tour, they backed Dan Reed for a Scandinavian tour. They also released two CD singles in 1993 and 1994.
Graham Parker in Classic Rock Magazine 1/2008: "The tour started on November 10, 1991 (GP must have meant October - JD) and lasted about three weeks. Mick's illness had really begun to kick in and, as I recall, we took every Tuesday off so that Mick could fly over to England for chemotherapy. Ronson would return the next day unruffled, uncomplaining, and with that marvelous head of rock-star hair still intact. I think it was the last tour he ever did."
Trivia: David Bowie was in the audience at the Stockholm show.
