- Contents:
The focus of this course is provide an introduction to the numerical methods
which are used to solve scientific problems. The
topics which will be covered include
- Solution of linear algebraic equations
- Interpolation and extrapolation
- Numerical integration and differentiation
- Eigensystems
- Fourier series and transformation
- Modelling data
The weekly exercise sheets will include some programming exercises. For
the latter, C/C++ or Fortran can be used.
